Etymology
Seemingly, a class 3 weak verb to *haʀjan. Kroonen reconstructs Proto-Germanic *hazāną from Proto-Indo-European *ḱh₁s-éh₁, derived from *ḱeh₁s- (“to call, to command, to instruct”).[1]
