Etymology
Either from *wigil, *wigul (“prophetic”) + *-ōn,[1] *wigil, *wigilu (“sorcery, divination”) + *-ōn, or *wigōn ~ *wikkōn (“to practice sorcery, divination”) + *-lōn.
