Cognate with Kabyle aɛebbuḍ (“belly”), Central Atlas Tamazight tabuṭṭ (“navel”), Tashelhit abuḍ (“navel”), Northern Saharan Berber buḍ (“bottom, bottom part”), Tuareg tebutut (“navel”).
