Etymology
From Turkish boza. Derived from Ottoman Turkish بوزه (boza), from Karakhanid بخسى (buxsıː) or Karakhanid بخسم (buxsum).[1] Nişanyan argues that the direction of interaction between Persian buχsum and the Turkish is unclear.[2]
