From Latin christianorum, genitive plural of Latin christianus. One of the few survivals of the Latin genitive plural as invariable adjectives in medieval Romance, cf. ancienor (“ancient”), francor (“French”), paienor (“pagan”), and Old Spanish juzgo (“legal, of the judges”).
