cymorth m (plural cymorthion or cymhorthion)

  1. help, assistance, aid, support, succour; person or thing that affords help; relief
    Synonyms: cynhorthwy, help
  2. a gathering together of people for a benevolent purpose, e.g. to plough a neighbour's land, to contribute towards a marriage, etc.; subsidy; tribute or exaction paid to the lord in several parts of Wales
