fekte
Hungarian
Etymology
From the fek- stem of fekszik (“to lie, recline”) + -te (noun-forming suffix).
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): [ˈfɛktɛ]
- Hyphenation: fek‧te
- Rhymes: -tɛ
Noun
fekte
Usage notes
- In contrast with állta and ülte, this form doesn’t coincide with the related verb form, as it would be feküdte, though it occurs with prefixes, e.g. from the verb kifekszik.
- The current noun is most commonly (but not exclusively) used with the case suffixes -ben and -ből (after any possessive form, given in the table below).
