Etymology
Related to gražus (“beautiful”), grožėtis (“to admire”). Sometimes compared to Proto-Slavic *krasa (“beauty”), although the connection is uncertain. Phonological similarity to Proto-Slavic *groza (“horror”) has also been noted.
