hamsterbleie

Norwegian Nynorsk

Etymology

Literally, hamster diaper. From hamster +‎ bleie. Derogatory use is not necessary because of dislike of snuffing as a whole, but as the opposite of snuff in powder form, which is considered by some people better than the portioned snuff. Compare Swedish blöja (baby diaper; lip snuff portion)

Noun

hamsterbleie f (definite singular hamsterbleia, indefinite plural hamsterbleier, definite plural hamsterbleiene)

  1. (colloquial, derogatory) lip snuff tobacco in small portion bags
