huislook
Dutch
Etymology
From Middle Dutch huuslook, from Old Dutch *hūslōk, from Proto-West Germanic *hūsalauk. By surface analysis, huis (“house”) + look (“leek”), referring to their usage on the roofs of houses (compare the taxonomic name Sempervivum tectorum of the common houseleek; tectorum meaning "of roofs").
