Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish خذمت (hizmet), خدمت (hidmet, hıdmet). First attested in the 18th century by Frakulla, "Hasmi të të bënjë hyzmet, | edhe ky është një hiqmet..." (That the enemy serves you is also a mystery...).[1]
