English
Etymology
ig- (from ignorant) + gnostic + -ism, modeled after agnosticism; coined by Rabbi Sherwin Wine.
Noun
ignosticism (uncountable)
- The lack of belief that "creator and designer of the universe" is a coherently defined phrase, thus modern religionists do not believe in any god but only have the illusion that they do, and that modern atheists do not disbelieve in any god, or even lack belief in any god, but only have the illusion that they do.
