- an Iranian man, a man from Iran or of Iranian descent

Usage notes
The terms irānietis and irānis are synonyms; irānis is more frequently used to refer to the ancient Iranian people, or to Iranian as a subgroup of Indo-European, while irānietis more often refers to actual citizens of the State of Iran.
