Etymology

Inherited from Old Norse mǿða. Cognate with Icelandic mæða and Old Swedish mø̄þa.

Verb

møða (third person singular past indicative møddi, third person plural past indicative møddi, supine møtt)

  1. to tire, fatigue; make tired/weary
  2. to cause trouble, oppress
  3. to grumble about, continually complain (of), be dissatisfied
  4. to become/get/grow tired
