- larger farm animals, livestock (usually mammals: cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, etc.)
- no ganībām pārnāk govis, citus mājlopus nemana ― the cows came from the pastures, other livestock were not noticed
- vecā gada vakarā Lazdu māte izslauca kazu, dzimtas vienīgo mājlopu ― last year in the summer mother Lazda milked the goat, the family's only livestock
