Etymology
Inherited from Old Anatolian Turkish نیجه (nẹce), from Proto-Turkic *nēče, from Proto-Turkic *nē- (“interrogative archetype”). Cognate with Turkish nice (“how much/many”), dialectal Turkish nice (“how”).[1]
