okastrera

Swedish

Etymology

Compound of o- (un-) +‎ kastrera (castrate).

Verb

okastrera (present okastrerar, preterite okastrerade, supine okastrerat, imperative okastrera)

  1. To not castrate (in males) or (sometimes) spay (in females); or to reverse such action.

Usage notes

  • Colloquially, the term kastrera often refers only to the removal of the testicles and vas deferens in males. However, the technical term also includes the removal of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus in females.[1]
