- (historical) Someone who supplies rolls of wool to the slubbing machine (a billy) in a wool mill.
- (historical) A worker in a wool mill who repairs broken yarn by twisting them together.
Usage notes
These jobs were usually done by children, in woll mills in Victorian England.
