playstreet (plural playstreets)
- A scheme by which a road is temporarily closed to allow local children to play there, e.g. in neighbourhoods where playground facilities are not available.
- 1951, Federal Probation News Letter, page 61:
- The Police Athletic League of New York City began operation of 75 playstreets and playgrounds in July for city youngsters who could not leave the city's streets during the hot months.
