- (US, medicine, very rare) An outpatient clinic, especially of a hospital.
Usage notes
- Not to be confused with polyclinic.
- Absent from most British dictionaries (including Longman, Collins, and Oxford Online), this term is used (though only rarely) by US medical professionals for the outpatient clinic or outpatient department of a European hospital.
