pròs m pl

  1. (European Portuguese spelling) Pre-reform spelling (used until 1990) of pros. Still used in countries where the agreement hasn't come into effect; may occur as a sporadic misspelling. Masculine plural of prò.

Usage notes

This additional use of the grave accent was introduced in Portugal in the Orthographic Agreement of 1945; this reform was not ultimately implemented in Brazil. The Orthographic Agreement of 1990 does not mention such usage.
