qata’ (imperfect jaqta’, past participle maqtugħ, verbal noun qtigħ)

1. to cut

2. to guess, to conjecture

3. to frighten

   Qatgħuna dawk iż-żewġ wirdiniet. ― Those two cockroaches frightened us.
