1. killing, murder, slaughter (the act of causing the death of a person or animal)

• In Maltese law, the equivalent of “murder” in British law is called omiċidju volontarju (after Italian omicidio volontario), translated to English as wilful homicide. It is also called qtil volontarju in common use or simply qtil.
