The terms radiological technician and X-ray technician are used for those who take and process radiographs. The physician who interprets them is a radiologist. A health physicist is concerned with radiation safety. The persons who design and manufacture X-ray machines, as well as those who maintain and repair them, have their own names. For industrial radiography, the person who takes, processes, interprets and acts as the radiation safety officer can be one in the same.
