rhinion
English
Etymology
From German Rhinion, from rhin- + -ion.[1]
Noun
rhinion
- (anatomy) The lower end of the suture between the nasal bones.
- 2009, Fred J. Stucker, Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery[1]:
- Since the skin is thinner at the rhinion, a slight protrusion of the underlying bony cartilaginous framework should be maintained at the rhinion in order to create a straight external dorsal profile.
