Etymology
Probably derived from Javanese ꦫꦺꦴꦩ꧀ꦥꦺꦴꦏ꧀ (rompok, “small hut”). Cognate with Banjarese rurumpuk (“hut, shack”).

In Sundanese, rorompok is used to describe one's own house, while bumi is for describe another person's house.
