1. (cooking) The technique of roasting an animal over a fire, where the cook pokes a rod through the animal and sets the ends on two sticks to suspend the animal over the fire.

   We're having a hog spit roast at the weekend.

2. (vulgar, slang) A sexual practice wherein two people penetrate a single sexual partner at the same time, one orally and the other vaginally or anally.
