steenbreekvaren

Dutch

Etymology

Compound of steenbreek (saxifrage, lit. stone-breaker) +‎ varen (fern), likely so-named because it generally grows on walls and rocky terrain. Name aside, it is unrelated to the saxifrages sensu stricto.
