   Un syntagme est un ensemble de mots formant une seule unité catégorielle et fonctionnelle, constituant une unité sémantique, mais dont chaque constituant, parce que dissociable (contrairement au mot composé), conserve sa signification et sa syntaxe propres.

   A syntagma is a collection of words forming a single categorical and functional unity, constituting a semantic unit, but where each element, though separable (as opposed to a compound word), keeps the meaning and its own syntax.
