From Proto-Turkic *tɨkɨ- (to stuff in, press in).[1] Cognate with Turkish tıkamak and Azerbaijani tıxmaq (to devour, to gobble)

  1. to push (in, into), to cram (in, into), to stuff (into)
    Synonyms: soxmaq, dürtmək
  2. to stop up, to plug, to cork
  3. to gorge (eat greedily and in large quantities)
