Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *taksjā, from Proto-Indo-European *tetḱ- (“to hew”) (compare Lithuanian tašaũ (“to hew”), Latin texō (“to weave”), Sanskrit तक्षति (takșati, “to carpenter, cut”)).[1] Cognate with tollë.
