Etymology
Inherited from Ottoman Turkish توافق (tevāfuḳ, “a being or becoming in agreement with one another, agreement, correspondance”),[1][2] from Arabic تَوَافُق (tawāfuq), verbal noun of تَوَافَقَ (tawāfaqa, “to agree with one another”).[3]
