In Malaysian English, 1100, 1200, and other numbers combining a thousand and hundreds are known as "thousand one", "thousand two", "thousand three", and so on. The last of these, 1900, is therefore known as "thousand nine".

For 1001, it is known as "thousand and one", based on British English. For 1101, it is known as "one thousand hundred and one".
