According to del Rosario (1969), the word is an archaic word but not found in old Spanish dictionaries. Compare Ilocano ummong (to gather), Kankanaey olnong (to collect, to gather together), and Ibaloi olnong (gathering in one place; meetings to decide on changes to the law).
