Etymology
Based on unë, from Proto-Albanian *wandā. Cognate to Old Armenian գինդ (gind, “ring”), Gothic 𐌱𐌹𐍅𐌹𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽 (biwindan, “to unwreathe”).[1] The variant ognazë is found in the Çam dialect.
