French
Etymology
Inherited from Middle French and Old French vescu, derived from the preterite vesqui, itself from a metathesis of Latin vixi, likely influenced by nasqui (“I was born”). See the same development in Occitan and Catalan viscut. Compare also Italian vissuto.
