1. (figurative) to oppress somebody by one's power or influence

     The apparatus and its mechanism need to base on individual dependencies rather than norms for granting and maintaining one's privileges with ease. The deformation has reached to the extent that those powerful rights are listed on a scale of evaluative supervision. That granting leads human to replace their mind with subjectivism, as a head of some institution has their rights to "promote" the person they want and oppress or displace those who are "stubborn".
