- (transitive) to marry (to give away a woman as a wife)
Vdasta svoju dceř za súsědova syna.- They married their daughter to the neighbour's son.
- (reflexive with sě) to marry (of woman, to take a husband)
Jejú dci sě vda za súsědova syna.- Their daughter married the neighbour's son.
- (transitive) to give, to hand in
Tak rozhněvav sě jeho pán, vda jej katóm.- So his master having got angry gave him to the executioners.
