No overload for method 'ToString' takes 1 arguments(ASP.NET MVC)

Question

I have helper where want to show month and day separately

I try to do it like this

But I have error

How I can fix it?

Try adding an `@using System` to the top of your `.cshtml` file. That might help the compiler realize the correct overloads. — krillgar, Jul 10 '17 at 13:09

You must have nullable datetime. It does not provide method extension for .ToString() having formater you want. Do the following:

<div class="month">@post.DateTime.Value.ToString("MMM").ToUpper()</div>

Why not? It actually does. You can't use anything apart from ToString() on a nullable. – Vlad Stryapko Jul 10 '17 at 13:11
