Android App crashes after Splash Screen showing FATAL EXCEPTION: main

Question

I'm new to android development & I wanted to add a splash screen to my project. But after launching the app, it crashes without starting the mainactivity.java. I can't seem to figure out why.

here is the error log,

Remove following from your styles.xml

<style name="AppTheme.NoActionBar">
        <item name="windowActionBar">false</item>
        <item name="windowNoTitle">true</item>
</style>

Its not required since NoActionBar already specifies it.

Try This

Add two lines in your code

<item name="windowActionBar">false</item> 
<item name="windowNoTitle">true</item>

Like This

this issue has been fixed for me.
