Convert XML to formatted plain text issue

Question

I have the following XML and i want to convert the contents to something along the lines of the following format.

PatientId: 123455, IdScheme: Test ....

So is it possible to do this? I had a go at doing this but I know for a fact i am doing it wrong as it cannot produce the result i want so any help will be much appreciated:

You should write an XSL script that creates your desired output from the XML. You can then have the XSL generate output from an input xml document in C# code. This way you can easily change the desired format or react to a changing input format without having to change the C# code. Just change the XSL. Your approach assumes that the namespace prefix is a fixed value when indeed the URI associated with the namespace is the actual unchanging value. Different XML documents could use different prefixes (other than "cnr) for the same namespace `http://www.organisation.com`. Your logic should work the other way around. — NineBerry, Apr 09 '19 at 15:07
