Recorded Macros to Delete Empty Rows But Does Not Work Consistently

Question

I had an issue of having random blank rows after filtering out the data, so I recorded a macro of selecting all cells starting from row 2, using Find & Select to select all the blank rows, and deleted the empty cells and shifted the everything up. While it ran successfully once, it does not always work.

The problem I am running into is a "run-time error 1004: No cells were found". I have put the line that debug indicates as the problem in bold. However, some of the sheets are getting formatted properly despite this error. How can I alter my VBA code to make this run consistently well. Is there a better way to delete the blank rows?

If you can tell that a row needs to be deleted just from a single column alone that blanks where there should data, you can try this:

Sub DeleteBlankRows()

    Dim LastRow As Long, StartRow As Long, ColumnNum As Long

    LastRow = 23 ' Change to end of data
    ColumnNum = 1 ' Change to relevant column

    Dim i As Long
    For i = LastRow To StartRow Step -1

                .Rows.Delete
            End If
        End With
    Next i

End Sub

This code loops through the column from the bottom to the top, checking if there's a value. It deletes the entire row if there is not.

Note: Most likely your code fails because it is attempting to delete from the top, downwards (how you would naturally approach the problem). But since deleting the rows shifts all the cells up, it creates and error.

You can try something like this, basically map all blanks and delete in one go.
