I'm getting this error although the window is opened Basically I'm opening a new scene the scene is opened perfectly but I do get this error every time this scene is opened. I just copied the code from another class and based on my new class I changed everything that should be changed and in the other classes it works perfectly I don't get any errors I didn't attach the class because it's nonrelevant

    You haven't posted the relevant code, so I can;t tell you what is wrong other than you are referencing something before it's been initialized at line 59. – purring pigeon Dec 31 '19 at 17:29

The `initialize` method of a controller should be unique, since each controller is not likely to have the same initialization needs. Yet you mention "same method same implementation". I suggest you create a [mre] demonstrating the problem, then add it to your question via an [edit]. If you're sharing a controller class between multiple FXML files—don't. There should be a one-to-one mapping between a controller and an FXML file. – Slaw Dec 31 '19 at 19:12

Your application is having trouble loading your FXML file here: 

loader.setLocation(getClass().getResource("/gui/Registration.fxml"));

If you look at the stack trace it is trying to load this file: 

javafx.fxml.LoadException: 
/C:/Users/User/Desktop/ICMprototype/bin/gui/Registration.fxml

Is that the correct path to your FXML file?

  • If the path was not correct the OP would be getting a "Location is required" error. By virtue of the stack trace including the path, the resource was found at the given location. – Slaw Dec 31 '19 at 19:15
