I am trying to make ts-jest working but I am getting an error from not really related to the method functionality.

I've got a class ProductService with a demo method ``

and the weird error I am getting the error I am getting

That's my Schema but it works fine actually when I run the product

I have already tried initialize the database connection (what I think it should not be a good practice) but it didn't help.

I hope you have any ideas of how I can make my tests working with my setup - TypeScript + MongoDB (Mongoose) with plugins

updated manual db start

I'm having the same error when I am trying to run it with manual db launch. but only this time I ran it with a '--detectOpenHandles' flag

  • @NathanWiles Thanks a lot for being around! I've checked the link and yeah, it's kinda similar question and I had already checked that (tried to db connection manually) but it didn't work. I had same error. I've updated the question with one more screenshot –  Jan 13 '22 at 01:49
  • @NathanWiles is it ok that it requires db for a method It doesn't use it? It must be a unit testing but It's so tightly bundled with other files and require to launch the while app (saying nothing about db connections) –  Jan 13 '22 at 01:54
