I'm working on a react-native project, but when I try to do build through the Terminal, I get this message error: "Apps targeting Android 12 and higher are required to specify an explicit value for android:exported when the corresponding component has an intent filter defined. See https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/activity-element#exported for details." I've found other questions where the answer seems to be "android:exported="true"" but it doesn't work for me still, or maybe I'm placing it wrong? where should I add android:exported="true"?

from android 12 and above device we have to add android:exported in every activity and service which contains the intent

replace your AndroidManifest.xml file with this code and it will work

I'm getting this error when adding your manifest com.android.manifmerger.ManifestMerger2$MergeFailureException: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 24; columnNumber: 154; Element type "activity" must be followed by either attribute specifications, ">" or "/>". – William Dec 14 '22 at 21:18

Also please make sure if you have added any dependencies then their menifest should also have android:exported="true" if it will be false then also you migh get this error.

Search in your project android:exported and if there is any false value is there change it to true

You have to add android:exportted= true in application tag in manifest file. Ensure the above line also.
