  1. When I play any voice msg in Firefox's whatsapp-web tab, it doesn't give any sound, even when the sound of all videos in the same Whatsapp tab plays ok. The same voice msg plays ok in mobile or chrome's tab.
  2. I've even tried opening the same in the Safe Mode or Private/incognito tab of Firefox. But same problem.
  3. The problem started only a 4-5 days ago. Earlier everything was ok.
  4. Also, if I send a small audio file (i tested sending an 'aac' file), it also played ok on all devices.

I've not consciously made any changes to my pc since voice msgs were playing ok.

Can anyone suggest something or guide me pls?

This option "Give exclusive mode applications priority" , was responsible for 'Not allowing' audio out of Whatsapp Web tab of Firefox.

As soon as I turned off this option in Windows11 Control Panel> Sound Settings> Properties for the device, on which the sound is intended to play on> and turning off the said option. No need to reboot the pc or anything. Sound started playing out of the web.whatsapp.com immediately.

Right-click on the WhatsApp tab on Firefox. Check if it has been muted.
