I was moving my User/name data for documents/music/etc. back from the D:\ drive to the OS drive (C:\User/name) and inadvertently seem to have moved the entire User name out of the OS tree (C:\ User\name) and into a top level position I am wondering how I might be able to correct this. I was attempting to move the documents folder back to the C:\drive. I had moved them to the D:\ drive successfully by changing the location in the properties\location tab for documents. When I tried to reverse the process, I somehow ended up changing the User\name instead of just the documents folder. I don't really know how this happened or I would have said so. Now I have the username on the top level with all the documents under it (rather than it being under USERS\USERNAME\Documents. Not sure how much more explicit I can be.
I can't just move the username because Windows won't allow anything but a link to it and the Username now has all the documents under it (as if the "documents" folder is now the "username" folder.
Any idea how I can correct this? The user account is my own and still exists, just not in the right tree.
