The laptop battery that I have currently and is not working for my Asus notebook E410MA laptop has specifications as: 1) model: C31N1912, Standard Li-on battery 42 Wh, 11.55 V, 3640 mAh

I ordered the battery, but they sent me a battery with the following specifications: 2) Model: B31N1912, standard Li-on battery 42 Wh, 11.55 ;V, 3550 mAh

As you can see, the model and capacity (unit mA·h) are different. Is it safe to use?

After a quick search for C31N1912 and B31N1912, most results are from shops selling replacement batteries.

Those two models (and two others) are listed as compatible batteries for your device, and many other similar laptops.

The voltage is the same and the difference in capacity (unit mAh) between the two just means your new one has marginally less capacity than your original battery, but this doesn't have any effect on compatibility.

Unless you purchased it from a questionable source, there shouldn't be any issue using that battery in your device.
