I have a Logitech M720 mouse, and every time I connect the receiver to a Windows 11 machine, an ad pops up:

How did this pop-up make it on my computer, and how can I permanently remove it?

This Reddit post may help.

It suggests modifying the registry to disable the Logitech download assistant.

Under the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run there should be an entry called Logitech Download Assistant.

Remove this and it should fix your problem, you will have to do this for every computer you use the mouse with.

You may be able to disable it using the startup tab in task manager instead of using regedit but I have no way to test this though.
