Platform:
- Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.1
- Wine v10
- Serial-port connection uses TTL-to-USB converter, Prolific PL2303 (via Linux, this appears as
/dev/ttyUSB0)
Following this very old Superuser thread, I have tried to use wine -regedit and I have edited the registry entry as described there.
But when I try to run a WINE interface to my Windows software (for power-monitoring module PZEM-0004T, v3 — it does work in native Windows environment), I cannot see any COM ports listed. Also, I am listed in the users allowed access to dialup.
Any hints? I have stopped at this point because I do not want to create more problems than I can possibly solve!
